About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Glazier to join their team in Queensland. To contribute to the maximization of the Divisions profitability by applying technical knowledge and practical skills to undertake the installation or replacement of glazing or associated products, in commercial and domestic premises.

Key Responsibilities

TECHNICAL • Undertake new and replacement glazing work in commercial and domestic properties as required and directed. • All Glazing shall be in accordance with Australian Standard AS1288, the aesthetic requirements of the building design and according to customer requirements; • Any Repair, replacement or installation of associated glazing components such as window frames, spirals, hinges, glazing channels or door closers etc. is to be completed in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. • Use of glass processing and handling equipment, not limited to belt machines, wet drills, hand arises, inline edger’s, suction banks, cutting tables, flop racks, cranes, Quattro lifter etc. • Minimize waste, including glass. CUSTOMER SERVICE • Be proactive in delivering exceptional customer service to both external and internal customers in a professional and timely manner in accordance with the Company’s customer service standards. • Wear the Company uniform and maintain a high level of personal presentation (including the company’s vehicle) at all times. • Proactively maintain adequate levels of stock, consumables and tools in order to ensure timely delivery of exceptional service at all times. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY • Following safe work procedures established by the company. • Following the OH&S directions of your direct supervisor and by the company management. • Wear and maintain any personal protective equipment that is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, as directed by your supervisor or as described in the OH&S procedures. • Using other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace as directed or as required in the OH&S procedures. • When required, assist your supervisor and other workers in the risk assessment of workplace hazards. • Report workplace hazards to your direct supervisor. • Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities. ADMINISTRATION • Accurate & timely use of tablet including the completion of any specific client paperwork. Where required, follow all guidelines or account instructions associated with credit card, account or cash collection regarding payment, ensuring management approval is obtained where required. • Use the company’s Customer Management System, including any required paperwork and computerized system. • Where required submit accurate and timely claims for hours worked storm payments or other payments.

Key Requirements

• Completion of the relevant trade certificate course or equivalent proven experience and training. • A thorough working knowledge of Australian Standards AS1288 and local regulations covering the Glazing and Construction Industries. • Current Drivers License appropriate to assigned vehicle • Ability to read, write, comprehend and speak English clearly and concisely.
