About The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced and reliable Butcher to join their team in Gold Coast, Queensland. This position is suitable for a skilled professional who takes pride in producing quality meat products while maintaining excellent hygiene and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meat products by deboning, trimming, slicing, portioning, mincing and grinding • Produce attractive retail displays and prepare customer orders to specification • Prepare value-added products, including marinated, seasoned and crumbed meat cuts • Select and process meat for sausages and other smallgoods • Safely operate mincers, grinders, mixers, tenderisers and sausage-making equipment • Prepare seasoning, curing and flavouring mixtures according to recipes • Monitor product quality, freshness, presentation and storage conditions • Provide customers with advice about meat cuts, preparation methods and cooking options • Maintain clean and sanitised equipment, preparation areas and display cabinets • Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements • Assist with stock control, production planning and waste reduction where required

Key Requirements

• Relevant butcher qualifications or substantial industry experience • Demonstrated skills in meat preparation, cutting and portion control • Experience using commercial meat-processing equipment • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements • Strong attention to product quality and presentation • Good communication and customer service skills • The physical ability to undertake repetitive and manual work • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
