Our client is seeking a reliable and hardworking Builder’s Labourer to join their team in Darwin, Northern Territory. This role involves supporting tradespeople and carrying out a variety of general labouring tasks across construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the movement and organization of tools, equipment and construction materials • Prepare work areas and support day-to-day site operations • Carry out digging, trench preparation, backfilling and general groundworks • Help prepare, place and finish materials such as concrete, mortar, gravel and sand • Assist tradespeople with the installation of pipes, fittings, valves and site fixtures • Help assemble and remove temporary site structures and safety barriers • Support basic drainage, stormwater and sewer maintenance activities • Keep work areas clean, organised and free from hazards • Operate basic hand and power tools where authorised • Follow site instructions and workplace health and safety procedures • Other tasks
Key Requirements
• Previous experience in construction, civil works or general labouring • The physical ability to perform manual and outdoor work • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn • The ability to work effectively within a team • A good understanding of workplace health and safety • A valid White Card, or the ability to obtain one • A current driver’s license and reliable transport, preferably
